🐝 The Queen Bee (me/Tuni) is back 100%!
🐝 The Mill at Lafayette business community is thriving!
🐝 And, we’ve decided to bring back programming to The Hive RI! 

🌱 The Fall of last year brought me back full time to The Hive RI, Mill and my consulting practice as I completed the 2nd of two fractional leadership roles.  I’ll admit it took me the rest of 2021 and into 2022 to settle back in fully but I am settled now and it feels so great to be truly ‘home’!

🗞 We are excited to announce that with such a robust community that has grown here at the mill, it is time to bring back programming to The Hive RI!  I am busy meeting with food vendors/trucks, as well as working on building out programming to support small businesses, and events and programming that will introduce us to innovation and expertise in many areas from Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin to the growing Blue Economy and so much more!

Did you know that The Hive RI now boasts 7 offices (currently full) plus open coworking space?  We continue to serve as a community based art gallery and love the sea creatures that are currently adorning our walls by Joann Seddon.  We will be announcing an open house in the coming weeks, as well as the non-profit she has chosen to donate a portion of sales to.

The Mill community (outside of The Hive RI) continues to grow and thrive and with a great diversity of businesses and professionals!  If you’d like to join us, we have a few spaces open, check out our availability here.  There is a space right next to Herbs & Mylk on the main floor of the Rodman Building (same building as The Hive but we’re down on the back corner) and a very cool space on the top floor that could stay as is or be redesigned into smaller spaces – that will depend on who comes first!

The Weekly BUZZ: Fall Is In Full Swing!

Fall is in full swing at The Hive RI!

Have you been to The Hive RI lately?  The BUZZ is palpable!  Between the constantly engaged (and fun) gang staying fit at Post Road Crossfit, the dancers dancing over at iDance Academy, the designing going on at Blakeley Interior Design and all the activity at our other community businesses (we’re over 100 now!) – this is an exciting place to be.  I’ve never seen the walking/running paths used so much (I’ve been playing, mostly riding horses, in these woods and on these trails for decades).  Here’s to community, we’ve got a great one here!

We just filled up a few of the last small spaces and are building out the rest of the larger spaces.  What does that leave?  Not much.  Looks like the infamous towers are the last frontiers?  Should Mike and I head up there?  Seems a little fancy for us, don’t you think?  It would be kind of dreamy to look out over the trees to the pond though and powered by solar…the last installation is almost done!

The Weekly BUZZ: Reiki at The Hive

Reiki and so much more at The Hive RI!

Friday officially wrapped up September here with Uncle Jay’s ‘Last Friday Coffee’ and we had another great, engaged crowd and a special guest appearance by Savannah Martin of Commerce RI talking about the SupplyRI program and this week’s event at Innovate Newport.  If you are a RI based supplier please think about registering here and if you have any questions please reach out by replying to this email.  I was happy to be an early supporter of this program so am happy to answer any questions!  

The doors were open all weekend as Alyssa Knapp of Integrative Wellness RI taught Reiki 1 & 2 trainings all weekend at The Hive RI, and she even incorporated the waterfall as part of the trainings.  In case you missed last month’s program on how to ‘Stress Less at Work’ stay tuned for another free program she’ll be offering in October!

Summer is ending but we are Falling into the next season here at The Hive RI & the Mill at Lafayette…

Coworking memberships & office rentals:
We have over 100+ AMAZINGly cool businesses represented in our mill complex and YOU could be a part of our community too!  My corner office in The Hive went fast but to one of our other office tenants and their office is now available (the one right next to mine) so…hurry up and let me know if you’re interested!  info@thehiveri.com – it’s $325 per month and month to month…a great deal when you can have a private office within the coworking community!  

We have a few other offices sprinkled throughout the mill complex but we had 3 showings today and they’re going fast.  It truly is a great place to work, full of an eclectic mix of very interesting, kind and hard working entrepreneurs and we have a waterfall and a town park filled with walking/running/biking trails right in our back yard (literally).

The Weekly BUZZ: Ripples…and Making Waves!

Are you feeling overwhelmed and need some balance in your life? On Friday, September 6th, we will be hosting a (brown bag/bring your own) ‘Lunch & Learn’ + self guided meditation, PLUS we’re offering complementary Reiki sessions afterwards!
