The Weekly BUZZ: Summertime at The Hive RI & Mill at Lafayette 🌱 ☀️ 🌸 🐝

🐝 The Mill at Lafayette business community is thriving with new offices being built out and new businesses moving in

🌱 SEO services:  I’ve worked with Mark Collins of On Web Local for over 5 years now and in that time we’ve collaborated and supported over a thousand of RI’s small businesses (I’m not stretching the truth here as he was one of our most utilized expert advisors in the RI Small Business Support program during the 2020 pandemic triage and I’ve worked with him on many of our Tuni Schartner Consulting client projects too!).  Mark spreads his time between Groundwork! Coworking in New Bedford and The Hive RI.  If you’re interested in meeting with him to discuss your company’s SEO strategy, please reach out to me and I’ll connect you.

🗞 We are excited to announce that we are continuing to grow our community here at The Hive and Mill – whether that is new businesses moving in or existing businesses expanding.  We are continuing to update the Mill website now that I’m back fully (it definitely didn’t get much love and attention during my 3 years in those executive director roles) and we still have dozens of businesses to add to the directory.  If you’re reading this and are one of our community members that is NOT in the directory, please email me.

🐝 The Hive’s 7 offices are currently taken but we only have one person on the waiting list so please reach out if you’re interested in being added to that list.  Just FYI, we do have room for coworking members in our open coworking space. 

🖼 We continue to serve as a community based art gallery and love the sea creatures that are adorning our walls this Summer by Joann Seddon.  Please feel free to stop by for a self guided tour or reach out if you’d like to schedule a meeting with Joann regarding purchasing any of her art or commissioning a piece.  She is currently busy managing her busy flower and vegetable farm and chickens in Charlestown at Cluckingham Palace but is also pecking away (pun intended) at a new series of art with driftwood found on local beaches.

The Weekly BUZZ: Spring At The Mill

🐝 The Queen Bee (me/Tuni) is back 100%!
🐝 The Mill at Lafayette business community is thriving!
🐝 And, we’ve decided to bring back programming to The Hive RI! 

🌱 The Fall of last year brought me back full time to The Hive RI, Mill and my consulting practice as I completed the 2nd of two fractional leadership roles.  I’ll admit it took me the rest of 2021 and into 2022 to settle back in fully but I am settled now and it feels so great to be truly ‘home’!

🗞 We are excited to announce that with such a robust community that has grown here at the mill, it is time to bring back programming to The Hive RI!  I am busy meeting with food vendors/trucks, as well as working on building out programming to support small businesses, and events and programming that will introduce us to innovation and expertise in many areas from Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin to the growing Blue Economy and so much more!

Did you know that The Hive RI now boasts 7 offices (currently full) plus open coworking space?  We continue to serve as a community based art gallery and love the sea creatures that are currently adorning our walls by Joann Seddon.  We will be announcing an open house in the coming weeks, as well as the non-profit she has chosen to donate a portion of sales to.

The Mill community (outside of The Hive RI) continues to grow and thrive and with a great diversity of businesses and professionals!  If you’d like to join us, we have a few spaces open, check out our availability here.  There is a space right next to Herbs & Mylk on the main floor of the Rodman Building (same building as The Hive but we’re down on the back corner) and a very cool space on the top floor that could stay as is or be redesigned into smaller spaces – that will depend on who comes first!

The Donut Fairy came to the mill today so I declare tomorrow Donut Day at The Hive RI!

Not sure who it was but we had a special delivery down at The Hive…3 boxs of DONUTS!  There aren’t a lot of us here today and Homer can’t eat all that sugar so PLEASE stop down and have yourself one tomorrow!
