The ‘9 Hearts’ Art Show is fantastic.  These 9 amazing RI based artists came together to create a stunning ArT Show!

We are really excited to have this show at The Hive and encourage you to come for a self guided tour anytime, Monday – Friday 9:00-5:00.  There will be a closing reception in early September and more information will be on our Facebook page soon.  Most pieces are for sale and we promise there is something for everyone in this one!  *Cindy Wilson is not pictured here.

We have 2 spaces that should be ready by August 1st.  They are also ground level, around back & next door to The Hive.  They will be $325 per month.  Reach out if you’re interested!

It’s the Last Friday of the month & that means ‘Uncle Jay’s Traveling Breakfast Network’…which means ‘donuts’!!!

We always have fun with Uncle Jay on the last Friday of the month & we always have a solid group of local professionals in attendance.  It’s a very relaxed, but productive, networking event that we’re kinda proud of!  Come join us this Friday morning from 8:00-9:30 – many stay after to have more in depth meetings.

The picture above tells the story and we greatly appreciate you showing up and sharing the information.  We had one of the most successful blood drives for the RI Blood Center!  And, great job, as always, POWR Premier Orthopedics & Work Rehabilitation for continuing to bring this blood drive to our Mill. 

Get Started Rhode Island
Please join Cox Business for one of RI’s best networking events of the year for small businesses, startups and entrepreneurs. WorkLife Balance is important here & having easy access to Ryan Park – with miles of wooded trails, ponds and fields…is a pretty nice perk that many of us enjoy.  As the mill community continues to grow, it’s pretty awesome to see how many people are taking calls by the pond, eating lunch out at the picnic tables and scheduling walking meetings!

We are currently building out 3 spaces that should be ready by July 1st and aren’t rented out yet!  They are ground level, around back & next door to The Hive.  There are two private offices that will be $325 per month and one larger space that is $500 per month (TAKEN). AMP-RI (Assoc. of Marketing Professionals) monthly event tomorrow night!
From 5:30 – 7:00 at one of our favorite local eateries, Sonoma Wine Bar & Bistro.  The Brand Is Me featuring Katie McDonald.  Katie will speak about her transition from life at Time, Inc. to building her bnourished brand.  No marketing or IT department.  No incentive trips to Morocco.  No corporate Amex card.  Just a life long personal pursuit of well being and a deep commitment to transform the world one mindful habit at a time.  Learn from her bumpy journey as she finally learned how to transfer the skills that made her early career to the brand that nourished her!  Register here.

Many of us within the Mill at Lafayette community utilize the miles of walking, biking & running trails adjacent to us in Ryan Park.  It’s great to be able to have a ‘walking meeting’ with a client, colleague or mill community member.  Come work alone together with us!

Total Exposure Networking is a week from tonight, Monday the 14th from 5:30-8:00 at Sonoma Bistro & Wine Bar right here in North Kingstown:

At most networking events you’re lucky if you get to talk to 9 or 10 people. Even then, are you delivering your message or just talking about the weather or the latest news headlines? At Total Exposure Networking (TEN), we make sure that you get to deliver your pitch to everyone in the room! Our unique TEN format consists of starting out with food, drink, and general conversation.  Then, when everyone is there, we pick 5 people, and they each have one minute to give their pitch to everyone in the room.  To register & learn more, click here.

What’s Going On…
Tomorrow night we have the monthly AMP-RI event from 5:30-7:00, at RiffRaff in Providence, and it’s going to be great.  Our friends from The Branding Edit will give a presentation on The Value of Visual Storytelling.  To register or to learn more, click here.

Our friends at the Red DWG Library are hosting a very cool morning event, Mimosa Morning – Happy Hour, on Thursday morning.  We are very excited to finally be making our way WAY up North to visit their beautiful coworking space.

The North Kingstown Chamber has the Business Strong Summit at the Rocky Hill School – kick off is Thursday night with Lt. Gov. Dan McKee then the Saturday session starts at 7:30am.  To learn more, click here.

Loving this sunshine…many of us have been walking and running the trails behind the mill – humans and Hive pups!  We hope you’re getting outside too.

Lots!  It seems like our 3 local chambers of commerce (East Greenwich, North Kingstown & Southern RI) all have events this week, as well as NIM (Newport Interactive Marketers) tomorrow night (The Hive tribe will be there)!   Then, mark your calendars for the Discover You Wellness Expo this Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick – details here.

The Rocky Hill School‘s Art Show – “In My Family” will be hung this week and will run until the closing reception on Thursday, March 29th from 5:30-7:00pm.  Mark your calendars as refreshments will be provided and the Rocky Hill School’s ‘Narragansett Sound’ will perform at the reception.  BUT, all are encouraged to come by The Hive RI during regular business hours for self guided tours of this show from Thursday, February 22nd until Thursday, March 29th.
