Historical Walking Tour This Saturday with Tim Cranston!
Where could you possibly take a quiet walk in the woods and along the way learn something about 19th century industry, transportation via train & ferry to Victorian-era Newport, Native American and early colonial land use; not to mention the struggles of a noble tree species and wetland ecosystems against foreign invaders?

Why The Hive RI/Mill at Lafayette & Ryan Park here in North Kingstown, where else?  Join local historian Tim Cranston and representatives of the Land Conservancy of North Kingstown on a mile & a half hike from our mill in the old Lafayette village to Belleville, this Saturday, October 20th, at 10:00 am. Be prepared for a healthy “sensible shoes” stroll along the gentle woodland trails of this under appreciated recreation asset here in North Kingstown.

*Bus transportation will be provided back to the parking lot of The Hive RI & Mill at Lafayette.
